Thursday, December 4 7:00 PM at the EOC, 640 South Franklin, Greenfield
Regular meeting of the EMA and COAD volunteers. If you would like to learn more you are welcome to join us.
In November, Hancock County Health Department folks showed us what we need in our cars to be safe during winter travel. This meeting, George Boaz will talk about preparing for being stuck at home for a few days. A representative from Greenfield Fire Department will go over space heater safety and proper use of generators.

Ready or not, here it comes.
Hancock County Health Department’s Kate Dennis and Keltsey Anderton gave a great presentation on the role of their department during disasters, including recognizing and treating frostbite and hypothermia at Thursday nights regular meeting of EMA/COAD volunteers.
A couple quick tips for this weekend: 1) Keep your car gas tank full, 2) Bring your garden hoses inside, 3) bundle up and 4) Get your car stocked up on essentials (Ice scraper, snow brush, gloves…)
If you don’t know what the … stands for above, go to this link. You can also come to the regular monthly meeting on December 4 at 7:00 PM at the EOC (640 South Franklin, Greenfield) where we will cover all things Winter Storm Preparedness. Not only will we cover car kit contents but what you need to keep ready at home, space heater safety and neighborhood awareness.
