Warming Center is ready to open

Best laid plans of man…. We got caught off guard by this early cold spell. Planned to start 11/15 not expecting the bitter to hit so soon.  But we are ready to go. And it looks like it is going to warm up. Go figure.

,
Time: 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM

COAD parameters: Temp below 30 or wind chill below 20, with flexibility re: precipitation

Not just homeless, but anyone without safe adequate heat, Some place will be open every night until 3/15/22 (If not COAD then Hope House)

To find out what site is open guests are to check with Kenneth Butler Soup Kitchen by going there for evening meal (Carry out only until at least 12/31) or by checking sign on the door (on weekends) or by calling (317-462-9900). Please help us spread the word to those who might need a safe warm place to stay overnight.

If you have not had the formal training from Red Cross or Salvation Army and would be willing to serve, we will put you with a trained individual at least your first night.
